thats is what i think, i guess its why i tend to post stuff that i agree with. i know you live in a vacuum.... of original thought, but what you dont seem to realize is, yer wordage is piss poor and laced with aggression and paraphrased shit stirring. but yer not the only one so chill. i get that my typed word skills are piss poor. i also, mostly have a life and no real time to make things up. but again, yer not on yer todd there either. btw, its about 6 different article eddied in to one.
I would agree with the point raised that moving Davidson across is still a possibility. There is no one in the current cabinet or on it's fringes that is not tainted by the lack of willingness to enact on the vote. Davidson being missing for 6 months has meant she avoided the most recent shitstorms and is seen as someone therefore that the tories could unite behind except, I don't think she wants it.
only in yours, the BBC's and the Scottish medias eyes. you will have seen how she dealt with just the slightest bit of pressure in that clip? thats possibly her best performance under pressure yet. how many examples does sir require?. she is Scottish, lesbian and pro remain. she would need to be elected in an english tory safe seat to get a job in the cabinet other than Scottish Secretary of State, whats the chances? her only qualification for the job is that she is anti devolution.
I don't think that matters for the tories fin at the moment. They have fallen apart in a way they haven't before. You used to be able to say that no matter how much they tore themselves apart, they always circled their wagons to defend the tory brand from others. That is not there anymore so they are desperately looking for someone who can bring that unity back and there is a distinct lack of candidates within the party. All parties have at least one "will they recover?" event, if this is the tories one then it's justly deserved.
aye, but they have to appeal to a segment of society that they hope will carry their policies over the line. ruth doesn't represent enough of the views of tory electorate in England. where govs are elected. put her in front of a hostile press and she crumbles, she cant help but expose her lack of policy or ability to think on her feet or even remember what she said the day before. she has one policy, maybe two, SNP bad, No to another indi reff. thats it. luckily for you lot. that wont cut it in england.
The major political parties need to break up and re-form along Globalist/Nationalist lines as the Left-Right divide is no longer the main relevant factor - although it still matters. Thus, there needs to be a minimum of four "main" parties. I am certain that, for the good of the country, politicians will put aside their own petty selfish interests and get right on this.
As well as the european mep elections going on , there is also the election to replace Junker and some of the candidates are at various public events are pushing their vision of the eu. Our old buddy Verhofstadt sums it up where he says there is no eu as it is just a collection of nations and it needs to be one force and not a collection of nations. This from Yesterday
So the Lib Dims "won big" in the council elections. Or put another way, they scraped together some of the ground they lost under Clegg. Supporters of the two main parties had expected the two main parties to respect their Leave-based manifestos and, given the opportunity to register their feelings, turned away from them. Many supporters of Remain voted for LibDims, as Remainders are loving the turmoil over Brexit and wish to see the 2016 Ref result ignored by any means possible. The LibDims are steadfast in their desire to ignore the Democratic vote and are untainted by the current Tory/Labour betrayal, so far as their small base is concerned. The local Elections voter turn-out was 35% compared to 70+% for the Brexit Referendum. And the Local Elections results somehow indicates that the UK electorate has changed its mind over Brexit? Spoiler: Willy Wonka says:
One of the funniest things I saw was sky news who then used the council elections as a template for if we had a general election now. It even had the snp up at 53 mp's ( I know fin will like that) but it didn't seem to matter to sky that Scotland didn't have any local council elections so took no part in them There are two possibilities now for the euro elections, both of the main parties will still pretend the remain version of leave which is not leaving at all is best but only their particular party version is the right one so nothing will be done. The second option is, having seen what happened to labour and the tories, they might want to avoid that again so will agree a fudge deal before the euro election but this is unlikely to pass in the house
I saw that too. I was speechless at the sheer stupidity of Sky at the time and I still have no words now. The more of this deranged, cretinous behaviour I see from media professionals, the more convinced I am that I have been spliced into a post-life, virtual, Vanilla Sky existence. I wonder what I was doing in my real life when the splice took place?
Any Defence Minister that suggests fitting guns to tractors isn't fit for purpose; so it doesn't matter whether he leaked or not, he needed to be gone. Trouble is....... Penelope Mordaunt - mordaunt meaning a physical substance that literally bit into something; or as a nickname 'The biter'.
Betfair have the Brexit Party at 1/4 (one to four) to get the most seats in the Euro Elections. Labour are 5/1 Tories are 109/1 Says it all really
And for this mornings non story headed up by the Guardian, a US jazz musician says coming to the UK will be harder after a brexit..... https://www.theguardian.com/music/2...exit-could-make-touring-uk-tricky-for-artists
May & Corbyn deal - just in time to stop the MEP elections and stop Tommy & Nige? May and Corbyn deal subject to referendum with No Deal & Remain on the ballot? Nothing happens until May is dumped and new Tory PM takes over?
Great post May is completely unhinged, unfortunately the leader of the opposition is even more so, as are her likely replacements. None of them could lie straight in bed
People are so focused on how awful May is, whilst ignoring that 90% of the UKs MPs are not one jot better. A change of PM is an irrelevancy at this point. A change of Parliament is what is needed. Root and branch, the Conservative Party must be junked. All of them. Brexiteers who continue on as Tory members are no better than the slimy Remoaners within their ranks. There is no coming back from this, not for the Tories. Permanently toxic brand. Just like Corbyn Labour only worse. Until democracy is restored to the UK and until it (really) leaves the EU, Left and Right are meaningless terms.
Even Labour have said that what they are after is do it and move on but all May is offering is, is a temporary fudge to get it across the line and look at it again later. Let's be honest, if there is any fudge going on, Labour would recognise it given their trying to stand in the middle of the road. It's not so much the tories are fucking this up, its that it's clear may has run out of ideas, keeps offering temporary extensions and despite the outward look, is still trying to sell a remain deal as leave. The point that is more annoying if you traditionally vote tory, is the lack of ability to get her out so as a party people used to rely on as authoritarian and knowing where you stood with, are now just as useless as the rest of them and there are no "stars" it seems to bring it back any time soon.
