Few from Angouleme rally last year. Fab week, access too all cars. At one point there was the Dino, 5 Bugattis and a speed 12 parked up outside the restaurant all having dinner.
Made by the same Company as the Cobra! Yep, half of them were made by AC.....which at least means the badge is worth having.....
My car being fitted out after bare metal respray .visited her today after work . If everything is good and no probs - will be collecting this weekend ( my b- day weekend) and straight to my mechanic for complete service before going to upholsterer did tidy up . Very special to me!
This replica of the Bugatti Royale Esders (exhibited at the French National Automobile Museum in Mulhouse along with two original Royales) is just about as special, and as valuable, as cars can get:

There are only six surviving "original" Royale cars, and a couple of "replicas". But bear in mind that Bugatti supplied them without bodies - the bodies were created by various coachbuilders. Each specimen has been later restored, rebuilt, and rebodied down the years. Some have been rebodied repeatedly. And the bodies are in various different styles such as limousine, landau, etc. 90 years on there is little real distinction between originals and replicas. This particular one (the "Esders") has a spectacular drophead coupe body of stunning beauty, and is considered the most gorgeous of all the Royales. It has a special display at the French National Automobile Museum in Mulhouse, as one of its principal treasures. Here is a pic I took in 2017 of the other two Royales there, both more original but not quite so lovely.
Was out on a ride earlier and bumped into the Shamrock Rally 2019, 5-Star touring for the well healed pre-1940's vintage car owner. Just a small selection I managed to catch at one of their checkpoints; some expensive metal there.

That's the one. And their obsession with collecting cars also made the company go bust. It's only 70 miles from me and I have yet to visit...
Apparently used to sneak cars in through the night, they just bolted did the owners left everything...my mate told me about it, we drove past the town last year but did not go either
