Boring! It's been nearly 3 years. General elections happen in less time than that. What are you scared of, a jolly good thrashing at the box, with reach around?
So ‘nearly three years’ is now more than five years between General Elections. Is this a new discovery by Diane Abbott?
Take an average from here, numbnuts. Look at how many are far sooner than your 5 year incorrect yardstick https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_Kingdom_general_elections
It's interesting to see how dim the most resilient brexiters are. Worse than the extreme remainers. Possibly.
From your reference: ‘the Fixed-term Parliaments Act 2011 was passed. Elections are now every five years, barring parliamentary vote. Before this, the election could be called at any point the Prime Minister wished‘, though Resorting to personal insult means you’ve already lost the argument. Have a nice day!
Not sure what your point is? Your opinion on the video clip,(or the opinion expressed within), might have been interesting, Either one has principles and stands by them,or one doesn't. Passage of time has nothing to do with it. A good number of politicians proclaimed publicly that they would accept the result of the referendum, and have now reneged on that promise. I could just about find that acceptable if they admitted their change in attitude and explained the reason for it,but none of them do. They seem to assume we will have forgotten and that their swift 180 will be ignored.
ferk me, i guess its only scortchio up here, do you guys never go out? on yer bikes even? when it comes to voting for proposals, there never was one nation one vote, c,mon, lets move on from the ukip leaflets. while seats are allocated by population, in the EU, multiple partys are elected by PR. there is no labour/tory domination. UK Govs elected to have outright rule indefinitely and for evermore, sometimes with less than 35% of the vote. and almost always decided by the people from a single region. the green party for example are pretty much one party EU wide. torys always tory, no matter where they come from, tho the name may differ. torys/party popular (PP) are the same thing. they regularly work together and with kippers... when they bother to turn up. with this focus on one nation one vote, it seems to me you're more, blood and soil, than you care to admit. take out more than they put in?. classic. excluding oil, (your figures) we put in 60bill per year, we get back 30bill. because of FPTP we have no influence on how that other 30bill is spent or what is borrowed or what country the "UK" are gonna destroy next. most bigger countries in the EU recognize that the emerging smaller countries contribute to the success of the bigger countries economy. and not a single shot fired. if you put the interests against the four or five smaller Groups/partys and the people that elect them, The Christian Democrats lose every time. it doesn't quite work like that in the UK. soon to be known as, one nation Brittan. i deal with all sorts from all over. never once has anybody come in wanting a bulb fitted and left with a full service. (tho plenty from all over have complimented me on the quality of service) it takes no effort and just a wee bitty of respect, to get the job done. you should try it.
This latest batch of posts has confirmed to me once more that this thread is way past it’s sell by date and needs putting to bed once and for all.
