I have one of the last 2015 1200s D Air bikes produced before the DVT. Registered March 15, I'm assuming it was made in 2014. Anyhow, I have sourced a full race system with the Up Map USB. My Q is: Will I cause any problems/wipe my ECU by plugging in Upmap, if it was used on another bike? Thanks men.
Isn't it a dealer instal thing ? Had to be dealer done on my DVT but pre DVT may be different. There is a difference on the DVT one as they made it a single use at a time. You loaded the upmap to the bike and downloaded the standard to the key then reverse the process if you wanted to move on to another bike. But I think on pre DVT bikes you could upload multiple times.
I have seen it done on YT by owners as plug and play.Hopefully I can connect and fire it straight up. I'll resist temptation to meddle until I return from France after Bank Holiday.
I've got the V4S which uses a plug in dongle type thing in conjunction with a smartphone app which all shakes hands via your WiFi. Are we talking the same thing here? I got all this with my Termi Uscite system. It's clever stuff and easy to use. Which is very handy for an IT retard like me....
Then as far as I'm aware you'll be ok. The system takes a copy of your original map (cloud) which you can revert back to and download if needs be.
