Hi Guys What's the best end can to fit to a 2016 Pikes Peak multi that has a de-cat pipe fitted? Standard Termi is making it run a little rough and backfires a hell of a lot. Trying to avoid a ECU reflash if possible. Looking at a Akrapovic S S-d12so7-hhx2t with DB-Killer but quite expensive. Any advice would be great. Steve
if its back firing, are you sure there isnt an air leak in it somewhere ? I would check the header nuts are tight, and any of the fixing brackets arent cracked. A change of silencer is unlikely to affect the running of the bike IMO, because they all pretty much have the same diameter internal pipe, and are all straight through, so little back pressure difference. I have a QD silencer and decat pipe on my 2012 bike. Quality is great and had it over 6 years now, but the alloy end caps are due another powder coating. Also, the central mounting point on the decat pipe broke off once, and then pulled a weld creating a hole which made the bike pop back on overrun. As a consequence I simply don't use that bracket now. I think that Akra looks great. The cost of silencers has gone crazy for the amount of work there is in them
Amen to this. Even with a talented welder making an exhaust by hand and some good quality materials and other general costs I cannot understand how we've arrived at a situation where the price spectrum for a can > system is 700-3000 GBP depending on bike, materials and brand. It's nuts. Cost of a slip-on with a new bike is now routinely 700+ and people pay it without blinking.
yeah agree it's simple engineering to make a end can now compared to 20 years ago. I have a Leo Vince end can sounds lovely

I went on their UK web site and there wasn’t a Pikes Peak DVT version offered. Wouldn’t be the first time that I’ve been wrong though Andy
I just wish I could find a decat for a 16 Touring itself, I missed one a few weeks ago on here. Plus I can’t find anybody except the Chinese out for dan Moto who when asked don’t know one end from the other.

some owners on here have posted they have Delkevic on their multi enduros. The price looks great (or rather, sensible compared to the rest). I couldnt get them to respond to any of my phone calls or web site messages though (I wanted to know if their cans will fit on the original cat, or others decat pipes).
