Hi, just to let you know that my 2002 998, low mileage 2228 has finally sold!...guy came down yesterday to view the bike, liked what he saw, paid the deposit, actually rang me tonight to do a bank transfer into my account although he won't be collecting the bike until Saturday, result! plus he paid me what I was actually asking for it, £9500...although I did include the original exhausts, etc, plus a genuine Ducati paddock stand, yes yes I know I could have sold them separately, but that would of just prolonged the agony of parting with the bike. So I'm on my new Bonneville next week, not as nice to look at but a lot more comfortable for my ageing knees.
i will now go eat my hat! well done and well deserved. he got a great bike if not one of the best around
Hi, all many thanks for the recently posted messages concerning the sale of my 998, really sad to see it go, hopefully it's gone to a good home, as regards the Bonnie, pictures to follow, and yes I understand it's not a Ducati but at least I've enjoyed 9years of Ducati ownership, ps what the hell do I do with all the memorabillia I've amassed over the years!
Hi pics of the Bonnie as requested. Ok I appreciate that the 998 and the Bonnie are two different ends of the spectrum, however at least I'm still making the effort(64 in September) to keep riding, despite prostrate cancer and dodgey knees!...as regards all of the "stuff" I've collected over the years, Ducati wise, I've decided to keep as a memento, that's apart from my Dainese Ducati jacket and gloves that luckily fit the wife of the guy whose bought the bike.
