How about: Vienna, Klagenfurt, Padua, Bologna, Mugello. QED The Grossglockner Pass would be pushing your luck a bit too far, I suggest.
Quite so, but even if it was open, I think you would be pushing your luck like I said. There is a tunnel, but it would be pointless travelling to the Grossglockner and taking the tunnel. The road into Italy from Klagenfurt is not too difficult. Or you could go further west to Innsbruck and take the Brenner Pass which is also not difficult. Of course, if you actually want to take the difficult high Alpine passes you can do - but that is a rather different consideration.
Ok.. I will look on the map and see if I can find any of these places!! I think I'm gunna start by heading to Salzburg .. or somewhere near there. only because it looks on the right track and is the right distance for a days ride!!! 230 miles avoiding motor ways...
My poor lil niece... she has to be up at 7.00 to first move to other accomadation , leave her bags there ( as she can't check in till 3pm) then get to her seminar by 8.30... I'm helping by keeping her up as late as possible... watching tv an stuff... We are sharing a room.. Ahh well... I think it will help her in the long run... she will need to able to put up with idiots and function at work with little sleep... she's a junior lawyer... No ... she is snoring her head off!!! Bless her... it's been a great few days with her... I'm am lucky
She just happened to be in Prague at a time when I could make it there.. she flew in Friday and starts her week long seminar on Monday. we had a great time together for a few days... I saw her in Paris a few months back, China a few years back and London a year earlier but prior to that I hadn't seen her in 9 years!!!! So it's really nice for me... She is awesome...
