Lol... for sure dude ... Wouldn't even change the rainy bits at the beginning ... they just made me not take the rest for granted. So far!!! . Couple of weeks left yet!!!!!
Give it time as it's not over yetamsterdam on the way back (ish) and a big fat one might just fixed it for you
As I understand it Chiz that pass and many other high passes are still closed. That’s why I turned towards Spain and didn’t do the Alps on the way to Croatia. Check with a local for the latest updates though. Wish I was going to Mugello, maybe next time.
Some good roads to bring you south: La route des Grandes Alpes and a site that lists cols as open or closed (easy to understand even in French): Etat des principaux cols routiers francais -G
Failing plugging my lap to and trying to plot a corse ( which I have had zero luck with so far) all I can do is look on my map, which isn't very detailed and punch town by town bit my nav... not much help in working out good roads...
Since Mr Chiz is riding from Prague to Mugello, he won't be going anywhere near any of the French passes, or even Swiss ones. Austrian and Italian ones maybe.
I like the new title applied Peter, after this epic ride and thread I think Chizel, sorry Mr Chiz, deserves it
Well... 3hrs in 3hrs out... First 30 mins leaving Prague ( after the 15 to get out of town ) was very pretty... shit bumpy roads that followed a river... then more open stuff still very bumpy.. the last 30 mins in got in to some hilly twisty wooded stuff with smooth roads... Nice.. Just having a cig and need to find food soon!
LMAO... I am lost.. I was looking for Austria and found myself back in Germany.. I pulled up on a round about, as did a 4x4 out of which stepped 2 German border police.. I explained where I was heading and they said go back half a mile and turn right and that will be a better route than the one I was on.. I tried that and my sat nav would not have it so 20 mins later I went flying past the same cops and am now at Mc Donalds to use WiFi!!! I just got the map out and although I'm right on the border in Passau, it looks like munchen is the better bet.. Then I see your post!!!
Passau, take the 94 then turn off towards Burghausen. Provided it’s not too busy a road for you. Then head for Rosenheim.
