British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. I'm thinking of suing Mcdonalds, you ever seen a kid with a happy meal actually being happy?

  2. Technicality? Like they weren't of legal voting age? Are you for real?

So if we don't agree with the next general election result, we just ignore it for a few years, say some people have been denied the chance to vote on a technicality and demand another vote?

Try reading what you type, back to yourself before posting. You'll look less of a nutter that way dude.

  3. How could you be so thick, sorry I mean how old was an 18 year-old in 2016? I'll give you some guidance if you like. Under 18 will do.

  4. Thick? :grinning: So you think somebody that wasn't of a legal voting age at the time of a vote has somehow been denied on a technicality?

I think you're my new favourite poster.

  7. "Water under the bridge"?

Oh, you mean the UK's democratic principles and the chance of getting away from the EU clean being pissed away by unscrupulous, bought-and-paid-for political and Establishment figures.

    *That water*. Fair enough.

  9. The thing is rich

EVERYONE who took part in the brexit vote and voted, knew one side would win. I would suggest MOST of the remainers who lost wish it wasn't so but whilst not liking it, have accepted it and now just want someone to get on with it so we can get back t moaning about everyday things other than brexit.

When the extreme remainers come out with that age shit such as you did earlier that a million old people have died so we should have a new vote, you make yourself and any one else using that look a bit like a selfish nasty cvnt to be honest

The "there are kids who were 16 then but are now 18 so we should have a second vote" is such pure horseshit only the extreme remainer side could think such a thing and think it's real. On every vote using that example,no one could ever vote because sameone would always be near 18 so lets wait.

Both examples come back to one clear and concise direction. The extreme remainers care not for democracy in fact quite the opposite. Many of us have said in this thread, failure to accept a democratic majority peoples vote goes way way way beyond just brexit and so far you have given every example of why democracy is at risk from extreme remainers who think peoples majority democratic votes should be ignored unless they favour you.

I'd like to sum it up if I may, mum, mum, they voted differently than me mum, I want to break the toy as I lost

  10. aye, every body that voted where voting in an election where much of the leave campaign was about corruption within the EU.
only to find much of the campaign was corrupt.

  11. Then you saw the campaign you wanted to see fin. Most wanted to leave for a variety of reasons but all had the same goal, to leave, we used democracy to decide. the last 3 years have been about 1 side refusing to accept democracy and little more.

  12. This shows more than anything why you need looking after by your English brethren :kissing:
    Your welcome :blush::upyeah:

  13. The age stuff is only really supporting info. The main point is it will be about the same duration as the gap between general elections before anything happens.

  14. yer right, nothing beats jumping from the frying pan in to the flames. works everytime.

  15. Honestly rich, it is not supporting info. It's sillyness and little more by the extreme remainers to do anything to stop a democratic peoples majority vote that both of the main parties agreed that they would act upon.

you can see the sillyness that if we had a second vote and leave won again, the losing side would probaly try the same chestnut again.

to show the desperation and stupidity of the argument, can you name a single democratic vote you have taken part in other than brexit, in your life time, where the democratic vote has taken place and the losing side has said, lets delay acting upon it till we have more younger people come through so they hopefully can change the decision?

  16. That isn't what happened. If a country is to leave it should be clean and fast and not require any negotiating. The EU has failed to provide its members states with clear steps on exiting, mainly by entering discussions with the UK. And making a mess of it with the UK. It's a botched job from start to finish. Both sides and the system are to blame. Some politicians should be in prison. Eg...

    Turkey-EU.jpg

The UK should be in the healing process by now. But it is still in the wounding stage.

If you make a pig's ear of something, usually it is wise to start again. Not give up necessarily. But start again. And starting again does not mean starting the negotiations again. It means starting at the start point, which was the vote.

Howcome you want to keep going, with it? It is a pig's ear, right? Like a nice Blade where you tried to make a streetfighter and realised it looks shit before you finished it. Put the panels and clip-ons back on and have a think.
