Well managed to finish work early (thanks to a 'sports afternoon'), so as it was nice got the bike out for is first ride of the year and went across to see the guys at MR. what a nice way to spend a Wednesday afternoon.

Cleaned the oven today using one of those kits where you put the racks into a bag and pour the chemical in and leave it to pickle. I was sceptical, but its probably the most effective oven cleaning product I've ever used - £4.99 very well spent. My oven is absolutely like new.
I did mine this weekend too, great results, got my kit from Tesco £4. Ingredient is caustic soda . I'm thinking of using it on my exhaust pipes too!
Clean that shite off asap...or regret forever!! Did a fair few miles, hard hour in the gym, bath and ready for another long day tomorrow...oh and paid for the latest bling addition
Worked, got the phone call to go home and check the house wasn't on fire (did she turn the toaster off at the wall or not ? Faulty toaster !) went home all ok  Back to work then home. Repaired back gate, walked dog, SOA and Guinness ! oh and got the suitcases out of the loft ready for hols at Easter !
Yesterday evening I went for an indian in Leeds with SWMBO, No2 son, his wife to be and granddaughter. Meal was lovely and to make it even better No2 son paid half of the bill. Which is a first.
By Crikey! With that sort of carry-on, we'll have to throw him out of the "sons" union! Mind you, he'll be let into the "fathers" union tho'
Just a normal working week Nothing to report apart from finding a lovely trolley scratch running down the side of my car yesterday :-/ I know it's battered but that doesn't excuse such things.
Been out to the garage twice to attempt to charge the ss battery, both time's twarted by crap the loving wife has placed there "too make space in the utility room". This weekends job will be to reclaim the floorspace, bin all her crap so my bike can once again escape.
New! Show your employee zeal by suggesting to management that trolleys should have rubber protection strips around them to prevent them scratching cars in a crowded car park! Supermarket chain turns this into a selling point, posts on FB page and creates "car-friendly trolley" ads. Everyone's a winner! In fact, I can't see why this hasn't already been done, as trolleys scratching cars must happen the whole time and the problem is so easy to fix. Sorry. I'm in a very marketing mindset today.
I dropped the 848 in for its first service (don't worry all the salt was washed of last night!). Got a Monster 796 as a courtosy bike....what a hoot that is! It's one of those bikes that doesn't take itself very seriously....and is better as a result. Really light and it hammers away quite happily. View attachment 12778
Got four items delivered today, ordered off EBay/the web from different suppliers. Two from Germany, both exactly as ordered. Two from UK, one was the wrong item so had to return it, the other had part of the order missing. Only a very small sample I know, but all the same ...
