Think this is great. Only downsides are risk of injury (although tommy is riding real mature at the mo) and Wilf losing him to wsbk!!
I think it's good, the risk factor shouldn't be as bad as it was at Imola in terms of Imola being a particularly sketchy track in places and having already missed practise there. He looked great at Donnington, lovely and smooth, he has definitely upped his game but feel that he will need something else to beat Redding. Scott to me currently looks like the complete package, listening to his bike live from the side of the circuit, he is typical MotoGP rider smooth, it's incredible to watch. I think he will raise the game of all of the top BSB riders like Tarran and that's a good thing.
I think Bird spat his dummy out when he left the series and slated the organisers so no love lost there.
