Interesting watching the s22 video how the electronics (ABS) is getting more invasive...to the point of hampering performance...
There’s a huge waiting list for them. Some people are getting there’s early ish next month though If you order now it’ll be 2020 probably from what I’m hearing
I have a mate at powerslide motorcycles mate. They knock out the best deals usually on the gixxers Speak to Brad or Dale
Well depended on the bike didn't it, just shows it can be done very well or very badly, IE the zx10 vs the RR
As advikaz says, nothing new here. Fagan had to sit the blade up and BVG was almost spat off the ZX10. Both incidents due to unfamiliarity with electronics on certain bikes. When I got the V4 I thought I'd suddenly developed God like braking skills. When I skipped back onto the 1098R and tried the same thing, I almost launched myself into the scenery. I developed a violent slapper and pushed the pads back, then momentarily locked up with a panic grab.... I was very lucky not to bin it. But the message is- electronics. I suppose it's good to be bitch slapped by an analogue bike just to keep yourself honest with lean, brake, speed and throttle....
So do I mate. It's a hard bike to ride fast but when you hook up properly with it, it'll stay with anything out there. And I mean anything... Trouble is you need Micheal Rutter level skills to get the best from it. I thought about selling it but doubt I will for some time. The engines an absolute peach. And they ain't going down in value I see.
I find the track sections a little boring, just watching the speedo going up and down, but the chat was good. When they showed the pictures of the models through the years, how good did that 1098s look? Classic yet modern at the same time, and incredibly stylish.
