optimisticly speaking....i dont tend to take any notice of the weather in iom til that morning....and even then it changes...
Been here since Tuesday, weather has been patchy, I've been waiting in clear skies and dry roads when it was cancelled, frustrating to say the least, pubs are doing well though. Steve
Meh.... Don't drink but that's ok... Roads are quieter, not necessarily the track itself... The shoulder road near port st Mary is amazing.... And it recently got relaid with the good quality tarmac...
Leaving Bristol at 2....lovely and warm here, sub's out, not many clouds in the sky... Perfect travelling weather...
Everything cancelled today, rain tomorrow morning, hopefully practice in the afternoon, bright sunshine in Ramsey with rain in Douglas and fog on the mountain was the problem today. More beer. Steve
Been waiting at Cronk Y Voddy every session up to now and each time it's been dry when cancelled. Steve
Mist the big problem. High winds again tonight into tomorrow and Monday https://www.gov.im/weather/5-day-forecast/
I was very sad to come home on Monday, after enjoying the delayed practice in the sunshine last Saturday. However I've been increasingly relieved as the week has worn on. I am quite concerned about the racing though, as qualification let alone circuit familiarity must be now an issue for many? There's going to be minimal rubber down and the best you could perhaps say is that the roads will be washed clean by the rain... Such a contrast to last year.
Been drizzling or raining in Douglas for most of the day. around 7pm it was fine so I took a trundle to Port Erin to visit a friend. Foxdale to Cross Fourways was clear but the cloud was not far above. Headed back around 9pm great visibility, empty roads up the Sloc and mostly dry surface with a few damp patches. Could see the masts at the top of Snaefell. Light rain falling again now.
Looks like possibly something happening late afternoon today ? https://www.gov.im/weather/5-day-forecast/
