  2. There's a place just north east of you that makes them. Call in there;).
On a serious note, Noobie's got a point, the cable probably needs adjusting, sounds like it got pulled too tight when things got bent and isn't letting the clutch plates go fully home.
It is a cable on that bike isn't is?

  3. Think it's hydraulic.....

  4. No it is a cable jobby...
I was just laying bed unable to sleep and thinking about the bike... could very well be just an adjustment..
It's only got just under 5k on the clock ... should get much more than that on a wet clutch I would have thought...

  5. My bad:(. I'd check the slave cylinder hasn't been damaged in some way, perhaps pushing the push rod across too far and preventing it from fully retracting, hence the slipping clutch.

  6. totally agree there's a good chance that the fall is to blame as it fell on the left/restricting full engagement - p.m.-d similar ^

  9. Whoops. Sorry mate. Well, yeah, in that case, sounds like fall may have dislodged something preventing full return of clutch lever, either at handlebar or at engine-end. Check adjustment for sure.

  10. Chiz, sounds like lever, or the bracket on the handlebar, has more damage than just the snapped off tip of the lever. Is the lever returning to fully out once you release it? Otherwise sounds like a cable issue. Cable operated clutches are a fairly rudimentary design in terms of the actuation mechanisim, should be reasonably easy to work out the problem. Look at the cable adjuster on the lever and try slacking that off. Unlikely to be at the clurch end of the cable as that's on the wrong side of the bike to the direction it fell. Concentrate on the lever end where you've already mentioned there's damage. Good luck and best to not continue too far with a slipping clutch without doing something about it.

  12. sounds odd, got to a shop that sells stationary and look for those a4 size organisers made of plastic, stanley it will give you plenty of sheets to line the whole (although the washing bowl is still the best option) :D

  13. and cutting through the thick plastic that goes to make up a bin with a Stanley knife, would be potentially dangerous to ones pinkies!
Keep clear of the knife Chiz, you’ve enough clutch problems
