For Sale Bespoke Leather Thigh Packs

  1. Not long after hitting the half century last year I had a sudden urge to get my bike license and buy a Monster, having had one at the back of my mind for about 20 years. (there's probably a term for this kind of thing).

Not one for buying anything on the tick I started saving. I then discovered that if I wanted a bike before I'm 60 needed to do something else to speed things up so started making bespoke leather bags for people.

One of the products I've been making is a leather thigh pack. It sits like a holster and can be strapped around your thigh to keep it in place.

Every bag is hand made to order, from the best quality leather, fittings and finishing materials I can find.

Aside from leather choice (colour, finish), you can choose what colour stitching, edge finish (loads of colours) and fittings (rivets, buckles etc - limited to: antique brass, nickel (silver), oxide black, shine black) - you'd like.

Turnaround time is about 14 days - depending on how busy I am at the day job.

I buy leather from AACrack&Sons so if you're interested it's worth having a look at their site - leather thickness I use is between 2mm and 3.5mm.

These aren't exactly cheap - partly because the materials are expensive and partly because they take 10-12 hours to make, as they're cut, finished and stitched by hand - the only machine I use is a rivet press as it gives a repeatable/accurate finish to the rivets. They're priced from £170-£190 (including RM Special Delivery) the price difference is down to leather choice.

Here are a couple of pics from my instagram page, but there are more detail pics of this and other builds on there too, so you can see the quality of workmanship.

This bag has one main compartment with a flap fastened with a 'Sam Browne' button and a slip pocket on the back.
I'm more than happy to discuss/offer changes to the design too. ie zipped rear pocket, buckle closure etc.

  9. Yes, to name just a few: satchels, backpacks, messenger bags, masks, watch straps, etc. I’m not judgemental, well not when I comes to turning a few quid for the Monster.

There are a few other examples on my Instagram page.

  10. Why? This is a public forum

  12. Rigto, I'm thinking something like this:

It's for a 2 Stroke Oil 'Magazine' - like a shotgun cartridge belt.
The rectangle shows the back strip of leather which I will bolt through the front number board (see last pic) at the 4 corners of the leather...
I can post a bottle so you can get a tight fit - it will need a base on each segment of course.

  16. Hi Exige,
I’d be happy to take a look at this one. To get a tight fit for the bottles I’d need to wet mould the leather around the bottle(s). I’d stitch along the crease where the leather meets the back piece to make a rigid opening and the sections in between would also be riveted. I have half an idea for a bottom support strap for each bottle but would need to play around once I have a bottle to hand. I could add eyelets at the corners for mounting bolts. No idea about cost or time yet, but feel free to fire me a pm with your email address and we can talk more.
