  6. I leave my job at the end of the month to enter semi (or permanent, yet to really decide) retirement. My fab work colleagues gave me this. Quite simply, mind blowingly delicious. HIGHLY recommended if you like it peaty. Mad me a little sad that i am leaving (not really :p ). Cheers, Richard

  7. Nice parting gift. What’s the difference between that and the regular Laphroaig? Laphroaig is one of my favourites.

  8. Mine too Paul.
I have not had a 'standard' Laphroaig for some time (I have a bottle of Quarter Cask and a Select as yet both unopened) so this is from taste bud memory. Both are fantastic. The Lore is 48%, I think the standard is 40% (??). Both have won awards in Jim Murray's whiskey Bible 2019. Check Laphroaigs website for info I guess. My opinion on the taste would be the Lore is much fuller in flavour. The bottle says it is the "most richly flavoured" of all Scottish whiskeys and I would not disagree having had more than my fair share. It has instantly become my best ever. Oh, its a bit pricey compared to the standard - add around £40 per bottle at c£70 depending on source. If you get the chance, do try it - you wont be disappointed....... I promise.
    Cheers, Richard

Trying this out with a Bolivar. Anyone else like their cigars?

  10. Yep, used too, but not so much nowadays, due to the fact I have to sit outside for 45mins to enjoy it. OK in company with a fellow cigar/whiskey buff, but no fun on your lonesome. :(. In fact I've still got a fine selection in the humidor.

  15. That is so dark, or did you mix it with coffee

  16. Not had the Uigeadail, just the regular Ardbeg. Lagavulin 16 is probably my all time favourite Islay. Sheer nectar :upyeah::D

  17. Certainly do, and if you know what these are in the pics you’ll get how lucky I was to not find one box but 10!
And before anyone asks I bought the lot, sold half and the other half have now cost me zilch.
