IMO it's the photos. They're artistically great but when I'm looking for a bike I want normal photos with and without fairings so I can see exactly what I might be buying by zooming in. I can't zoom in on the detail in those photos as they're all too far away and they make t look like a toy not the real thing. No offence meant so please don't take any, just my view. GLWS
Thanks for all your feedback boys. I’ve now uploaded a much worse series of pictures and also got rid of most (but not all, obviously) of the guff. Thanks again for all your help. I’m really grateful for your opinions.
Thanks Alex, I’ve made nearly all of these changes now. New advert is here: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/323826206189 Thanks again buddy
If it had standard paint and was £10k I'd probably be all over it. £2.6k paint jobs are all well and good if someone else shares your tastes.
OK, my post came across a bit harsh. But speaking as a potential buyer (and an old git) the bling of the paint and the exhaust is lost on me. Plus I'm dithering between an 1198S and a 1199S, and most of what I read says the older bikes engine is nicer on the road.
Maybe, not looked at these for a couple of years but if the R's have dropped a bit this has carried on rising! I was offered one with 1/3rd the mileage for £8k back then.
I understand completely, chum. Luckily, there’s absolutely millions of bikes that suit your needs, both in terms of price and spec. FWIW, I’m also an old git. The old difference is our tastes differ. No harm in that.
I’m afraid I don’t really know what this means. Sorry. Either way, I hope you find a bike thar suits your budget and specification soon.
If the bike hadn't had £5k that would never be seen again, chucked at the exhaust and paint, perhaps it could have been a bit cheaper/attracted more interest. As for what may have been a dig about my budget, it's not limited to a 2nd hand 1199 thanks.
