Not missed a beat, I’ve used cruise and a number of the suspension settings, not so much the heated grips on this trip and the hill hold function has been a god send given some of the f#ck wits who are allowed to drive on steep single track roads.....one such “member” had me step the bike backwards on a 15% incline as he couldn’t reverse his Campervan into the passing place 50yds behind him

Some of the roads I did 2 up were so narrow they were actually restricted to bikes & cars. NO CAMPER CANS bigger than a T5. Didn’t come across a single one on those roads, with very regularly spaced small passing places.
So we’re on our last leg back home and staying over in Booley Bridge in the Lake District. On Friday heading to Loch Lomond in the first rain of the week we got a puncture in the rear (3600 miles and it had squared off in the last week like a dice) pulled in a lay-by and began the task of fixing said puncture only to be joined by a group of Irish club riders (RATCLUBNI) who were equipped with everything including the kitchen sink, the guys stayed and helped us back to the green welly stop (5 miles back) to ensure we were sorted, I can’t thank the guys enough for their support. Thank you Steve and Adam. Saturday ride over to Ducati Glasgow for a new tyre and a steady ride down the motorway to the lakes. First time since Easter Friday I’ve had the. Keis heated jacket switched on, it hailed and temp reduced to 5 deg! Overall a fantastic trip, thoroughly enjoyed it, some amazing scenery, bike never missed a beat and the weather was fantastic in the main - only criticism of the bike is the uncomfortable standard seat, I’m looking into a replacement or modification

Good thread .... i fancy a few days away end of July so will probably head up and try and get to John O Groats as never been there yet despite my yoof years riding in Scotland i never went further than Inverness by bike Funnily enough done Norway, Europe and South of France by bike but never the top of my own home country. Shame my start point is Norfolk nowadays so long day up and long day down but i am happy with big mileage days
I leave two weeks tomorrow for a slightly extended NC500 to allow for visiting friends and family along the way
Nice today, but yes - we have now entered the wet season which runs from June to May, stay away, nothing to see here
Bloody long day, we're heading down to Norfolk in July, usually an 11 hour drive using the 'quick' roads....
Hope it goes smoothly Dave Enjoy mate, long time no see ...must be about 10 years when i had the ZX636 B1 Using the quick roads i can get from the Norfolk Coast to my parents place near Glasgow in about 6 and a half hours but i tend to take the interesting routes through the Borders rather than A1/A66/M6/M74
