  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  13. Not far from them

Uncle, mums brother, was in the army (artillery) in the 70's over in Germany but got kicked out for going around the range at the end of the day, getting the shell casings and then polishing them up as they were copper and brass? and selling them at the germany sunday markets.

He came back to his family in Hull and the council put him in Bransholme, he was a good fit.

Nan worked at Needlers and grandad for the hull telephone company Kingston. Once a week they used to drive his brand new beige robin reliant for the weekly shop. A few months after returning from germany uncle couldn't get work so asked to borrow the car for a while to go looking. 4 months later he returned the car with an extra 4,000 miles on it and no reason why.

Nan used to go to bingo up Anlaby road and mentioned this to a friend who happened to know uncle. Apparently he had been using their reliant as an unlicensed mini cab and only returned it when plod caught him

  14. So, continuing the silliness of trying to read things into the tea leaves of election results, has anyone else totted up the vote percentages in the Peterborough By-election?

Using the data published on the BBC News:

If you add the Brexit, Conservative and UKIP votes they polled about 51% of the vote. That’s a lower percentage of implied Leave than in the BREXIT Referendum, but still challenges the view that people have changed their minds. Especially as the Labour Party is still sitting firmly on the fence so you don’t know how many of their 31% of the vote still want to Leave?

  15. Perhaps you are doing it wrong.

I think you’re meant to ignore the Tory vote (they’d never win an election, ever) add labour and Lib Dem’s and greens together, assume everyone who didn’t vote wants to remain and there you go, proof we all want to remain apart from the odd 29% so remain = 71% now :)

  16. And that is *without* the head-scratching involved, wondering why 20% of the Pboro electorate decided to postal vote and without knowing how the PV breaks down between the various parties.

Be assured though ... I am scratching my head.

  17.
  18. If a win by 1.7million votes = a stalemate, a 600 deficit by the Brexit party means it’s a win surely
If not I’m going to cry about it for 3 years :sob:
