Drove along the A66 past Appleby where the ‘ quaint travelling folk ‘ have their fair. The camping field to the north of the A66 looks like a bomb site with litter and other shite scattered everywhere. What a mess.

I've been working from home all day. Shoulder hurts a bit but pain killers are helping. Our builders have been making progress on the garden room. First fix electrics is done, roof is done now. We are now waiting for windows to be delivered and as they are specials then they wont be here for a couple of weeks. So given they wont be able to do much for the next couple of weeks I've just given the go ahead for them to start on the patio areas to keep them busy till then.
What have I done today? Where to start?!!! Zero... absolutely zero... And I don't feel bad at all.. The biggest effort I have made is to get of my barstool and take a pic of some bikes... thats it...
Found out at Almeria that my Shoei X-Spirit III starts to lift at 150mph which I put down to 2 reasons; I’m too large for the bike and sit directly in the airflow over the screen and the X-Spirit III shell changed shape from the X-Spirit II which meant I had to go from L to XL and have the largest cheek pads fitted to get it comfortable. Anyway, a (routine) visit to the dentist this morning put me just up the road from Infinity in Farnborough so thought I’d pop in and try a few helmets. Fancied the Scorpion EXO R1 Air but it didn’t fit, so I tried the HJC RPHA 11 and it didn’t fit, tried the AGV Pista GP-R and it didn’t fit, tried the Schuberth SR2 and it didn’t fit, tried the Arai RX-7V RC and it didn’t fit and finally tried the X-Lite 803 and guess what, it didn't fit either. I’m now wondering if my next course of action is to visit a Shoei fitting centre to see if they can sort something out. Andy
I bought my Shoei X-Air in Japan about four years back and the shop had a fitting centre for both Shoei and Arai. Took quite a while to get it how I wanted it (the language barrier didn't exactly help), but it was perfect when new. It is now 4 yours old and while it still fits well and very comfortably, it could probably be a fraction smaller than what it is now (like it was when new). Time well spent if there is a fitting centre around where you are.
