1 Piece Suit - Where can I shop for 'seconds'

Discussion in 'Clothing, Gadgets & Equipment' started by Monkey Boy, Mar 22, 2013.

  1. Afternoon,

I already have a 2 piece suit but would now like to get hold of a 1 piece. I don't have the money to spend massive amounts and second hand would be fine, I've used ebay a couple of times with varying success. Someone mentioned that I should look out for 'seconds', suits that didn't make it through the quality control for aesthetic reasons, but I don't know where to look.

Has anyone had any experience of picking up something this way, or know of any retailer/bike shows where I can get my hands on some.

    Many thanks.

  2. Don't know where you live but Acesport in Norwich do second hand or even end of line suits, I bought one last year which was end of line for less than £300

  3. J&S but avoid framt tho,as unless its the older kit: ie minimal strech panels and absolutely none on the front. Found out to my detriment the lastest stuff is shite!

  4. What size are you? I got a spare decent condition spyke one piece for sale size 54 i think

  5. Try module road and race over here in n.ireland they have suits from around £299 new.johnny or Keith deliver world wide

  12. I got a 2-piece Dainese suit for short fat blokes, £250...

  13. try the bmf show in peterborough

  14. Was just about to suggest these guys myself, always have large stock of suits for around £300

  15. Hmm its not been letting me post.

Many thanks for all the posts, its given me a few starters. The BMF show at Peterborough was suggested to me and I'll pop along if I haven't found anything by then.

Ideally I'm looking for some thing with a bit of red in, about 42-44 and £2-300.

  16. Would that be 42-44" chest, or Euro 42-44? 42-44 chest is somewhere around euro 56 (depends on manufacturer, Dainese seem to be a little bit smaller than others). If you are looking for euro 42-44, you might want to see what cast offs Dani Pedrosa has ;-)

Bit of a tight arse myself, and found 2nd hand (un crashed) from a decent brand better than brand new from a shoite brand. But just my opinion.

  17. I've bought secondhand leathers before, and I agree with you Pete, a used set of quality leathers must be preferential to a crap new set.
