Ah the wait is not so long! ASV long ordered Are they hard to fit? I’m fairly useless and slightly concerned since this involved braking.
Levers are fairly easy to fit, remove the broken one and refit it to see for yourself, just put a little grease on the pivot pin.
Personally, I prefer oem. Everyone has dropped a bike in an unfortunate and often needless way. Everyone.
Dunno. Dealer fitted mine whilst they had the bike !! Like you, was a bit nervous about messing with the brakes !!
When I use a paddock stand if it’s a two seater I take the rear seat off so I can literally put my hand in the bike and grab something when lifting pretty irrelevant but just saying as I would have dropped a bike by now if I didn’t do that oh and leave the side stand down to give more chance of salvaging it.
Good tip mate - but what I did was completely bloody moronic and I should never have even tried it. The 848 size insert into the middle of the back wheel is MUCH smaller diameter than the monsters. There was no way it was ever going to work The only thing stopping this drop would have been me using my brain. I'm only really sharing this on the very very remote chance that someone else as stupid as me tries to do the same and is warned off from doing so.
Pazzo Racing. I have them on all the bikes. Awesome and reasonably priced. http://www.pazzoracing.com/ If your trying to insure against a future drop, you can also buy them as a folding model as I had on my Panigale.
I ended up buying ASV ones and fit them myself. I’ve not ridden the bike since but if I go quiet on here it’s cos I must have done the brake one wrong Getting the pushrod back in to the rubber dust cover was a massive pain in the arse! I had to hold it open with two teaspoon handles while my daughter inserted the pushrod
Black will fade wery quick to purple however.... ....it all depends on quality of the anodizing. Reputable companies do hard anodizing whicxh is thicker and resists fading. Chinese knockoffs on e-bay do just marginal anodizing and usually fade within a year if exposed to sun. So if you are buying from reputable company go for any color you want.
