thanks merv, have to admit, i really cant abide in dealing with insurance companys and let the wife sort most of it, when it comes to bikes i just renew to save all the aggro ( which plays straight into there hands i suspect, and indeed why they make it such a pain in the arse process ; ) lol ) , cheers kev
At Waitrose I can pick up a handheld scanner as I go in, scan everything and pack it as I go along, and then just pay the bill as I leave. Works extremely well, and no annoying messages or arguments because no checkout. Do any other shops offer this facility yet?
Interesting. Does it keep you abreast of the total? If so, that is quite surprising, as aware of how much you've spent, you might start to forego purchases that you would have bought in ignorance of the monster bill you'll get given at the check-out. A plus for the hard-up consumer (though there are probably statistcally fewer of those in a Waitrose), but a minus, you'd have thought, for the store.
Sainsburys are just trialling an app for all phones where you scan each product on your phone and you can pay either at a normal or self scan checkout It's looking good so far
Spent four bloody hours trying to get a integrated dishwasher out which had been siliconed into place by a muppet ffs. He must of used about four bloody tubes.
Went to Peterborough for an Antique Fair today. Bloody freezing , just got the fire roaring, going to take the hound for a walk and then crack open a beer or 3
Ordered an xcarlink for my car, allows me to connect my ipod to the factory stereo, and control it from the head unit as well as charging it too. Not cheap at nearly £75 but worth it with the mileage I do.
Tescos have scanny things by me .. Don't know what they do but I guess I could pretend they are ray guns and hide behind stuff and pretend to shoot people when I'm bored with shopping?
Just had Fast Bikes land on my door mat, there's most much else to do on a cold wet shitty day Happy reading
