We've had the same in the past. Authorised Xerox partner, selling their brand. They then turned around and told us we couldn't use Xerox anywhere in the entire URL (not the domain name). We argued that having our website.com/xerox made complete sense for segregating their brand from others we sell. Also, it makes sense for SEO purposes. It fell on deaf ears as we just got fed the corporate line. I'm not sure they really knew the meaning of URL Anyway, he can stick a domain forwarder on and divert to his new site so not losing all his previous traffic. Does he only do Ducati?
