Yes, well far more than the one that won a world championship - it actually isn't much (if any) different than a standard shock mount position on the left side and can only be stronger on the right
Well, another issue from a year of so ago was getting the Giles Rearsets to fit - the multi adjustable plate wouldn't line up with any accommodating surfaces on the frame. I got them out of the box last night as I was on a roll after attacking the swingarm and found a couple of small bubble wrap bags in the bottom of the box - feck me, 2 more adjuster plates with different mounting points! And they would fit too So I spent 2 or 3 hours lining up, scaling from images to get the position as close as possible to the original bike - cross checking the distances on my GSX-R 750RR as it has a similar low slung seat. It took a while to finally get the courage up to drill the frame - measure 5 times drill once was my motto today. I also had to de-mount it from the Abba Skylift to drill the holes so it is now supported from the ceiling from my new workshop addition hoist. I can now see what clearance I have for the 2 remote reservoirs so will have a thing about brackets those next... I have drilled and tapped the steel plate as temporary fix for now and ordered some M8 x 20 weld in inserts for my next trip to Chad's welding emporium of motorcycle excellence over in Hull
Fitted my remote reservoir with temporary drilled and tapped holes in the frame, ordered some M6 weld in inserts for the proper job. View from behind:
Luckily Ducati designed a cut out in the swing arm so at full travel the remote res just drops into it, very nice of them:
