Moto2 Triumphs

  1. I admit, I was totally wrong, the triumph’s seem to be holding up incredibly well give the abuse with very few reports surfacing of engine issues emerging and very few breakdowns while on race weekend.

    Well done triumph :upyeah:

  2. Biggest problem is over revving on the change down as the riders had no experience of the quick shifter/blipper on a race bike. Or so I read. Andy

  3. They mention that quite often in commentary, and that Dixon has had a bollocking or two for it.

  4. Road version perhaps? Aprillia are doing a sports 600(ish) according to bike maga

  5. They already have a 765 road bike, just needs turning into a new Daytona :upyeah:

  6. Triumph just needs Matt from small boys blueprint and they're sorted

  7. I am confused by this and the NL race series. What bikes are they?

  8. As I’ve said before, I’ve had 3 Daytona’s and never had issues, I’m glad though that Triumph seem to be proving to be reliable under the scrutiny.

We are a refresh cycle in now so I bet they are learning loads about the engines under those conditions.

I think we will see the road bike next year, but will it be that or the new 959 for me I’m not sure

It's not the Moto 2 bike mate, they started the 765 Cup up this year and it's just Street Triple 765's that are modified. Really enjoyed riding one at Silverstone, however did miss the extra spunk that my 899 has. In a corner it's like smearing peanut butter into Kim Kardashions budonkus.

  10. So are they just putting Daytona fairings on them?

  11. Yup, Dayton CRC's, with all the usual track mod cons.

  12. Pretty trick then really :upyeah:

If they are like the road bikes, the ST was 10-15hp down on the Daytona, so would expect any road version Daytona to have a bit more go than these bikes

  13. Yeah I hope so, it was the first thing I noticed, you know when you come out of the pit lane do a check then open it up a bit and go "ugh ffs", wished there was more there. Problem is with todays new bikes, there going to want minimum 13-14k I reckon for the R version when new. As amazing as it'll be why would I get that when i could get a S1000rr base for 1500 quid more or a ex demo for probably the same price.
