Are we looking at both BSB and Superstock bike specs ? In the photos there is a big difference in the front fork spec and the rear tyre tread. Yeh I know I'm an anorak but I love it
yes we are... BSB = 110k RS based ( ohlins FGR300 gasforks + 108MM racing monobloc GP4RR calipers) SS = 30k R based (ohlins FGRT 203 forks + 100 mm standard M50 calipers) grtz
As far as I'm aware, they were thinking about it, but didn't change it over the winter. The third photo show the bottom of Graham Hill and it looks the same to me
Kope...Good call, those who are ready to order those lovely Brembo's should know that GP4RRs are only available in Nicel plate 108mm where as M50s are currently only shipped with the 1199 and only available as 100mm only, M50 to celebrate 50 years of Brembo brakes, also M50s only really work with the OEM master as they have an odd displacement! GP4RR p4 32/36 are shocking money with Ti vented pistons come in at around £1500 each caliper plus pads....lol NICE! Single CNC billet monoblocks... love them!
Not quite from what I recall, he has FGR200 forks and p4 32/36 monoblocks, new forks are longer, lighter, stronger upper tube and more range afaik..
Ha Ha, for the fussy the tubes are thicker but internals are lighter...lol and if you look closely the adjusters are colour coded!
arthur, time for me to say : I'm humbled and bow before your magnificance my forks are FGR 100.. but they did get an upgrade last year before not being used at all.. Ohlins tells me the forks are pritty much the same since the 800 series in 2008.. especially as the 300 series is 12K +VAT.. good for WSBK but not this simple citizen.. the calipers are indeed the "oldschool" P4's monoblocs with the drilled TI pistons... i prefer this greenish look over the nickel... and the GP4 r are not available used yet... so : utterly expensive.. the M50 already gave me a bit of a wake up call as to stopping power. And the P4 are even more so as they will be operated by the gp 19x18 master ( the only part of the Pani brake that has gotten some critique) .. There are now some parts of me fearing thay i might have overdone it all and are scared sh...tless i do try to get those parts back in line though...
Ha Ha, your bike looks ACE mate (read your thread), top spec stuff...love it! The M50s have been questioned re master before, me and Desmodave did some digging and questions the use of other masters, the short was any other master would leave them woody as they have an odd displacement.. Your brake setup is another step forward for sure, that GP master is a rare item as such high cost but wow! I run GP4RX calipers two part CNC with four 32mm pistons with RCS master on the road and they are shocking! Never rode with GP4RRs and good master but I'd think it's awsome! After that its MotoGP, quick fact "takes around 9 months to make a carbon disc for motogp!" Right I'm off...lol Good luck to the MR team in BSB this year!
