Have to admit I prefer the looks of the Jota. Tupperware has its uses, but it’s not the prettiest; Especially in yellow.
How can anyone not say that the 916/998 is not one of the best, if not thee best, looking bike ever made?
Who’s saying that? You get the odd weirdo thinking it’s not, we’ve even got a couple on here that incredibly think the 999 is better & a NZ dude from memory that thinks the 916 “looks squinty” but they’re clearly in the minority. Massimo Tamburini designed the stunning 916, it’s held up as a design icon & is often cited as the best looking bike ever made. I personally think that his later MV F4 just about pinches the title as I said earlier, but it’s a close call. The 916/996/998 is truly beautiful.
I was one riding my rf 900 as fast as I dare down a bumpy road when a 996 came past me like I was stood still..... respect.
Yes the MV is a beautiful bike but with that ugly nose/headlight the No1 crown has to go to the 916/998. Next!
which is clearly an invitation for me to say the opposit.. the 916 is squinty in my eyes. its the headlights that do it. and the bowf way way the fairing comes up and round the bars. i'm sure it was the dugs nuts at the time. but time moves on...
its not fugly, its lovely. its a bike for those that can see past the aesthetics and go with function over form.
It's certainly function over form , I have to agree with you that things change in time I almost like some 999's from certain angles and I still think my ST4 headlight is ugly - but it goes good and puts a grin on my face, which is what matters
