Has anyone experienced any cracks appearing on their dash, these have recently appeared on mine (see attached photos) I’m going to call the dealer as I am assuming they are covered under warranty, the bike is 15 months old.....
I read it happened on the 1299. I bought some stickers to protect it on my V4 - dunno if it helps but it should
Ducati speedos / Dash all crack - its just a question of when... You would think that after twenty plus years of this problem, they would have resolved it! Has the paint started to flake off the engine yet?
Really is a poor show from a quality perspective. Keep checking mine every time I put it away in the garage.
Does make you wonder why a bike built in Italy has a crap dash that doesn’t like sunlight. They have a fair bit of that there uv in Italy
Surely these are bought in from a specialist manufacturer - do other makes of bike not have similar problems???
My "beat to fcuk Suzuki" which is 40 years old, has no cracks in the speedo, and no flaking paint on the engine. Can you imagine a time when Ducati that could make those claims?
Seen this many times, double bubble screens have been mentioned previously as they focus the sunlight..
My 1198 developed one, my 1299S has one. Its a feature. Just like the feature that ensures you cannot see the dash due to the reflection of the shiny silver ohlins steering damper.
I had a crack on mine and have noticed another today!, are they something you can put in a warranty claim for?.
None of mine have yet, but if I park up in sunlight, I put my gloves over the clocks if I walk away from the bike. You'd think they would have sorted this by now. After all, I have a 42 year old Vespa with 36k on it and the clocks haven't cracked on that. I bought it from a right wide boy too, so I was half expecting it.
Really?! BMW find an issue with the built, stop the build. Ducati find an issue and let customers deal with if for 3 model generations!!! 1098, panigale, panigale v4
