I was by today and everything was being tidied up. Officials cars all lined up and DG VIP tent up. Sheep were at the top.of the hill so looks like good weather
Yup, not that long ago it was the Saturday that had the chance of rain. At least it will be warm rain !
Wet. Very wet. Day started ok but from early afternoon there was the feel of rain in the air off and on until towards 4pm when the superbikes were due on for qualifying when the thunder and lightning started and the rain never really ceased properly. We left around 5pm when we thought they'd give up on holding a qualifying session. Horrible ride home - my mate headed towards Biggar and encountered a shower of hailstones.
Saw your bikes parked up they looked great. Can’t believe how quickly the rain came down, the lightning storm was incredible. Watched the wet qualifying which was unbelievable tbh. The amount of grip those things have has to be seen to be believed although Keith Farmer had a nasty off and has broken his legs badly.
We hung around before leaving, both to potentially see the qualifying and in the hope that the journey home might e reasonably dry. No such luck by 5pm so we splashed our way. Looks like it will be 4-wheeling it tomorrow which is a shame but weather again looks iffy and we're both still drying out.
Was there both Saturday and today. Was up in the car yesterday with the wife and kids and today on the Duke. Some cracking racing with some crap weather but it’s the norm for Knockhill.
Had a cracking weekend despite the weather. I’m still in shock at the grip the superbikes had yesterday in qualifying.
Can’t believe how shit the weather looked. Everyone walking around like extras in Scott of Antarctica. I was watching from home in South Yorkshire and it was roasting. Bit breezy but very hot when the sun came out.
Saturday was scorching until ten minutes before superbike qualifying then the thunder and lightning started !
