Donnington with ThundersportGB- Easter weekend. Thermals packed!! Snow tyres packed!!! After the first round where Brad did real well on the little 748 we are looking forward to another good show over the Easter holiday weekend. A few modifications to the bike are now finished - aluminium clutch basket and plates, quick release fairing and a few other tweaks.
Fingers crossed the track is clear. It's only round the corner so may pop up and see how it's looking. It was bloody freezing and brands and I was hoping donny might be better. Mind you last year racing was held up by the fog. The boy is booked in for a track day on Thursday to get his eye in before the weekend racing. I'm not holding much hope to him getting out. Think we need sone of those ice speedway tires
Golden era showing on the Thundersport Plus programme - Thursday 28th March 21:00 for 1 hour. Repeats are Friday 29th at 05:15 and 15:15 according to the ThundersportGB web site. Have fun.
I caught something of Thundersport at the weekend on the TV but there were less than 20 bikes out on track! Didn't seem very full...
TV day is sunday - and by then the cold got to a few not so hardy souls. As I work the flags at the back of the grids I can assure you they are nearly all full at the start of Saturday qualifying - serviceability, crash and in this case cold deminish this by the second sunday race. Donnington round is expecting ~300 riders.
