Everything is materialistic with you Capitalist, i am rich in life to the point i'd rather attempt to be more humorous than being serious, you should try surviving on a single State pension bud including my (one and only) wife. Lost my religion years ago never mind the Devil will always provide.
The biggest problem fin is that it did not allow the avoidance of removal because rules did not allow refusal, the new system under U.K. should allow the U.K. to determine who comes in, certianly from the eu as the system will apply equally to all no matter where you come from Again, the issue for the majority was never migrants, it was the lack of a controlled immigration system as the one in place was like bolting the door after the horse had bolted. Hopefully within a short time this will be resolved, it will also allow us, as more mech and ai takes over employment, allow us to control that need in an orderly fashion.
but it was controllable, it was the fear of immigration. why would you fear immigration if they contribute more than they take out? must of been some pretty impressive persuasion used to sell that puppy.
There seems to be selective hearing on the remain side. The wish was to stop the open door immigration that was in place and replace it with where is our shortfall and accomodate those who wish to join us who had the skills to fill the gaps. The eu immigration system does not allow that level of adjustable to need migration so what was being asked for was conrolled immigration instead of open door immigration. it really isn't anything we haven't discussed before. If we are talking about being afraid of migration though http://www.iamawake.co/the-eu-funded-wall-that-nobody-wants-to-talk-about-turkey-syria/ It would seem mass economic migration is a concern for the eu too, yes?
I keep hearing it from small minded people i suppose, is Jeremy poor ? Follow him a bit closer and draw your own conclusion.
It's not @Exige 's fault if you never saved for your retirement and rely on the tax payer funded state to keep you, is it.
Save me bumbling on with my own delusion, and i've said sorry to you once today, are you a Capitalist ?
I think you'll find the State pensions are paid through National Insurance contributions, fully paid up for 40 plus years .
They don’t have any “pot” though, they are funded from current contributions. Our contributions paid for our parents’ and grandparents’ state pensions.
yes your not wrong fella, it has come light that the governments for last 20 years has not contributed to the national insurance fund.
ERM, how does he explain the rest of the european countries unhappy with the eu project? They target boris because for the first time, they genuinely fear we will actually leave. It will be interesting to see just how many of these grandstanders in the eu commission, actually keep their jobs in the current eu commissioners elections
They did have some 4.8 billion gone with no accounting for it. That was always the understanding with your contributions nothing new there.
As @Darkness says, there is no fund. Current contributions from those paying tax and NI fund current pension payments. Good for you that you are fully paid up and claiming what's rightfully yours. However, you said @Exige was materialistic and a Capitalist (I'm not sure why capitalist is seen as an insult from some people, contributions from a lot of capitalist people and organisations fund the tax system by the way) and that you were "surviving" on a state pension. I merely stated that if your weren't happy with this level of income, why didn't you take steps to provide for yourself in your own retirement. I am. I intend to retire 10 years before the state pensoin age of 67 and I should be OK because I have taken those steps.
Mate i am happy in my retirement, but it is survival so having cut cloth to suit doesn't come too hard having being brought up in the same way. Rob i wish you well and for your early retirement you must have worked hard and had good fortune through your working life, doesn't always work out that way for some.
