I agree with you, but calling Stu materialistic for putting all his cash in bikes just smacks of sour grapes, and I’m sure that’s not you
Yip. Good Socialism in action. To each according to their need, from each according to their ability.
Good on you. I gave up work a few years ago and shall happily take the Old Age Pension when I’m officially old (About six years time). It can be done!
Your words Rob not mine, never mentioned his bikes or his cash, nice to know his name is Stew though. I might drop the Capitalist thingy now.
@noobie “I mentioned Norway because like most of the nordics, they know they have to pay more to get more and they seem happy to do that. Yes I also know you and fin will use that for the indi threads but remember, Scotland will never be Norway because it is fulla Scots ” Naked xenophobia People in Scotland know they have to pay more to get more, which is why many do pay more to get more. So you are wrong there. Even though you are wrong, you try to justify your point based on xenophobia. You are differentiating on nationality. I would happily explain this to the good folk in the Royal Oak in Pagham, and tell them Noobie doesn’t want to make that comment in Glasgow. I expect many of them would put him on the train to Glasgow themselves.
i think 80% of scotland would say you have to pay more to get more. less than 20% of the country are tory votors and contrary to BBC Radio Scot only 1 in 16 are members. rather than 1 in 10.
Oh goody, I do like out of context numbers and percentages especially of a Monday morning - only 2% of the population of Scotchland are SNP members
Really? Well I know of three Scots or people who live in Scotland on this forum and we all have the same view of your post. That should tell you something. It’s a bit like the Mark Field thread and the response given by the only woman on the board, and most of you ignored or dismissed it.
Are you going through the change? you seem to have these drama queen fits every couple of weeks? Me and fin have discussed this before, he's even agreed on a few occasions. The nordics have it built into them from birth that the society is more important than the individual, that is why they often come up as the happier people. The U.K. including Scotland, has it drummed into them that the rights of the individual are more important than the society. so when you come up with the scotland norway comparisson it's as though you are comparing chalk and cheese but claiming two cheese's. The only thing they have in common is a simular population size and they conquered you a few times. So when I say Scotland will never be like Norway because it's full of Scots then I am right genetically, financially, geographically and emotionally That is not xenphobia dq and you know it is not
Just Googled is for you, there's lots of info there Scottish Income Tax applies to your wages, pension and most other taxable income. You'll pay the same tax as the rest of the UK on dividends and savings interest. Income Tax in Scotland - GOV.UK https://www.gov.uk/scottish-income-tax Feedback About this result People also ask Is Scottish income tax higher than England? If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and have taxable income of more than £150,000, you will have to pay the additional rate of 45% tax on the amount above this level. If you live in Scotland, you'll have to pay a top rate of 46%.
Genetically? Got any other examples of genetics and social norms? Got any for black people or Jewish people perhaps?
And....... What about where the 40% band kicks in? Is that the same as in rUK or higher or lower? To save you looking it’s higher. So @noobies statement about genetics etc is utter drivel. People voted to pay more to get better public services.
