Puzzling, when meps were asked to stand for the eu anthem, they did but some turned their backs whilst others remained seated in protest The snp's Alyn Smith wasn’t hugely impressed: “Some ghastly MEPs turned their backs on a song. A daft grubby wee stunt to distract your attention, do me a favour and don’t waste your precious time on them eh? Their main vector of publicity seems to be folk being outraged by them.” Mr Smith however, forgot to mention due to the Catalonian's outside the eu building at the time, he and other snp colleagues remained seated in protest against the eu whilst the anthem was played
Trade Negotiating Strategies, Remoaner style: Scenario 1: UK: We would like to discuss *this deal* with you Other: You can't have that UK: OK, we will accept anything you offer as, obviously, there can be no negotiation Scenario 2: Other: We offer *this* to the UK as our opening gambit UK: OK, we'll take that because obviously, your first offer is your only offer and there can be no negotiation I wonder what Remoaners use for grey cells. I think it's kittens. You guys use kittens for brain cells, right?
Scenario 3 UK : hello you colonials, we are the best in the world at most things and you want them... so have our pork pies made in ye olde melton Mowbray Australian : for every 1 pork pie we buy you will buy 500 BBQ's and some old scuffed cricket balls and sandpaper we are trying to shift
Likely trade deal outcomes after a real Brexit (ie not a May/Hunt/BoJob fudge) Some trade deals will be on better terms than currently arranged, because our priorities are not the EUs priorities and we don't have to worry about 27 other "countries" when we make deals. Some trade deals will be on worse terms than currently arranged, because we have less "clout" than the larger EU market. Overall, everything considered, trade deals will be better, on a nett basis, or roughly equal, or worse, than we currently enjoy, due to the compensating nature of being outside of the EU trade bloc, being free from competing priorities and the effect of the reduced negotiation power compared to the larger EU bloc (plus taking account the monthly, eye-watering contributions we make to the EU Superstate war chest) We will be more agile in negotiations, better able to fine-tune terms based upon our own country's requirements We won't be a region in an EU Superstate (not strictly speaking a trade issue, but worth repeating anyway because you loons just don't seem to grasp this point).
It’s good to see both sides of a story, the only thing I don’t get is he must know the sort of things that are being said about him, why not put his side of the story ? For instance - I’d like to know why his opinion of the EU changed ?
