British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. the people who have the say over what gets through are elected. in a PR Parliament.
do MP's get to decide what Gov ministers come up with?

  5. Hmmm haven't you said before that a gap that small is unacceptable as a result? :D

  6. no. i might of said a result based on lies and promises not deliverd make the result not worthy.
but, that aint a result. there is no indi campaign or election period going on. an tbh, other than your self, nobody talks about indi bar the opposition and media. which of course will usually generate a reply.
that is a snapshot of opinion before an election is even called. it was 54%yes the week before the "Vow". its only going one way. you guys should have yer brexit if thats what you want. but its the opposite of what was promised to us. you got to accept the unintended consequence of your decision.

  8. This statement from you seems so contra to your argument, I must have got befuddled somewhere? I'm thinking..Surely the unintended consequence of the democratic decision of the people of Scotland to stay in the Union is that the later democratic decision of the people of the Union was/is to leave the EU ??? So you're saying you should accept that?? Have I got that right?

  9. The remoaner lies out weighed the Leave lies 1o fold - and were funded by the Government  the result would have been similar to our poll with the lies - and what's more: you know it :eyes:

  10. be quiet exe.
yip, hear yah, JB and lets not forget, in 2014 there was no pro snp msm.
it was brought up a couple of times in the tv debates leading up to 2014. it was highlighted that england could vote for brexit in the event of a majority 2015 UK GE. you can imagine the flack they got for that? the grievance party are going big on the grievance, again.and presented in an anti english manner. as per
who on here thought there was gonna be a majority Tory gov in 2015, let alone a leave vote in in 2016?. by 2015, the scots had an inkling and voted for 56 SNP's out of 59 seats, then after a full on anti EU campaign voted 62% remain, where the torys slipped to 11% in scotland in the latest EU elections

  15. its been consistently within the margin of error for some time now, so..
i wonder why the Gov are refusing to release the polling they have undertook, re brexit and indi that has been asked for several times by FOI requests.

  16. If there was another referendum, for leaving the Eu or for Scottish independence do you think the government would make it legally binding and set some sort of criteria for ‘winning’ ?

  17. dunno, they have done so before in 1979 with the super majority they imposed. makes no real difference now, i guess. 50%+1 was good enough before, tho i would be aiming higher, much higher. its one of the reasons they keep saying they wont "allow" sturgion a section 30 request. they are pushing her to go early. what they cant get their head round is the principle of, Scottish sovereignty, rather than parliamentary sovereignty. its not Sturgion they are refusing, its the people they are refusing. if we are not part of the union voluntarily, then essentially we become a colony. and that never ends well.

  18. You're not seriously suggesting that the government won't have learned lessons from the past five years?

Future referenda will only feature choices between
    1. What the Establishment wants to happen and
    2. What the Establishment wants to happen, using different words.

It could be generations before we see another "meaningful" referendum.

  19. If / when there’s another Scottish independence referendum, if the result was 51% leave do you think it would then just happen or would the 49% make a big fuss ?
