  1. Very pleased with the interceptor no real issues with the bike it does everything pretty well fuel injection is spot on nice engine / gearbox brakes are made by a subsidiary of Brembo
Don't particularly like the STD tyres
Would I buy another one yes definitely
Only downside it's not a Ducati
I live about 4mls from the R&D center at Bruntingthorpe had a tour of the facility very impressive they have plans for a bobber using the 650cc engine there's also a concept 800 Vtwin
Half the staff are ex triumph
There's rumours that there planning to put the 650 engine into the Himalayan
I actually went to buy a Himalayan but fell in love with the interceptor

  4. Pleased you are enjoying the bike T500. R.E have certainly moved forward as a company. They have some clever brains in the company now. They have embraced the future wholeheartedly, understand their market and have invested in technology and getting the right people.
I absolutely loved the Himalayan, although I would have liked slightly more power, I think the 650 engine would be over the top.

  5. One of the mags was asking the new owner to get in touch when it sold, think they wanted to feature it - not sure if it was MCN or Practical Sportsbikes/Performance Bikes.

  6. I think the Himalayan is spot on as it is there's sufficient power and the engine is very tractable

  7. Just filled up the cars washer bottle

  9. Put a cheeky little wager on to keep the race interesting. :)

Mir was being too much of a pest with Miller for my liking.

  16. Well today I had an early start to get to see WSBK at Donington.

Set off to meet people in Holmfirth at 6.15am

8 of us then rode directly to Donington. It was dry but a tad cold getting there.

However the weather soon improved and by 9.30 it was warming up nicely.

The DOCGB stand and turnout was fantastic. Some superb machines on show or celebrate 25 years since the launch of the 916 including @Tobytyke and @bettes lovely bikes.

Met many old friends and some new ones including @PaulPhillips, @Magic77 and @Messer. Good to meet you guys :upyeah: and also good to see again and chat with @Tim Maccabee , Ducati UK MD, who I personally thanked on behalf of the forum, for the competition tickets for BSB at Oulton Park in September.

Also had some preliminary discussions with some of the DOCGB management team about possibly setting up a West Yorkshire branch as we currently don’t have one (North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire have one).

Unfortunately the planned Ducati lap of the circuit to celebrate the 916 at 11.30am had to be postponed due to oil on the track. It was rescheduled for 4.30pm. Not sure if it happened as I left for home at 3pm.

Got home around 4.30......bike covered with dust and crud from Donington’s gravel track roads. So I had to give it a good clean before putting it away.

Now fed and watered and watching MotoGP :)
