Pretty uneventful. Discovered that someone else's fuck up had cost me £1,500 worth of work. Having nothing else to do today because of said fuck up and already furious, and in order to try to calm down/kill time, by way of therapy I decided to do some work on one of my bikes. However, when trying to transfer a handlebar grip from one bike to another, I ended up ramming the end of a clip on at full force into my mouth/teeth, which in turn led to me kicking a wooden table into a million pieces and throwing my socket set across the room. Next question.
I had some spare Echo spots, so with £35 (each) I've turned them into portable entertainments sources for the garden...... 8 hours run time... Lithium batteries.... Great as it links into our smart house system with gate intercom, access controls, cameras etc..... Very impressed.... took 3 hours to charge... lets see how long they last in the real world.
Sometimes we get this, especially on site. I always get a works change sheet signed..... or "extras" as they are known in the trade. We take extra special care to get our specifications and responsibilities tied down. .. not saying we don't make the occasional mistake..
Yup. I was trying to pull the grip off the clip on when the other hand (which had hold of the clamp) lost purchase and as a result, I basically stabbed myself in the face at full force with the end of the clip on, using my pulling hand.
My issue was boring office bollocktics. Last Friday one of my clerks (a bit like PAs) had forgotten to check whether the client I was supposed to be representing this Thursday had signed terms before they turned away a trial at the Old Bailey which started yesterday. Turns out that the Thursday guy is a total time waster, so if they had called him last Friday before knocking back the trial, I would have been available to do it, and today I would be in the Bailey, on my feet, rather than in my living room, trying to smash my front teeth down my throat with an aluminium tube....
Bikes are fab, in a display room at a petrol station here on the island, Googled the boat, apparently worth a mere 300 million lol, also made in Italy but wrong colour
