Yeah, it may (or may not be) R engined but an R it ain't, its a potentially decent track hack ..... but thats about it ....

 

Also it’s got non standard, I’m guessing HEL, brake lines. Question is, with only 970 miles, why were they changed?

Also, was the Ohlins shock standard on a 97 916?

 

I would have thought yes on the factory OE for the SP/SPS's but not so sure on only a S model

 

Their bikes are similarly priced.. As in unreal chancers...

 

I didn’t even know they did S models in 1997. I don’t think they started doing uprated versions and calling them S until the early 2000s - SP/SPS/R aside which were homologation specials.
