Garden room floor was screeded yesterday. I’m hoping against hope that the fitter will fit the flooring this morning before the new sofa arrives. But I know that won’t happen given we are beholden to his timetable.

Yeah, he has onset dementia early stages but sometimes he also plays mischief. We've discussed installing an alexa to help him and also a web cam, but even at 81 he regularly talks about sex and we are afraid what we might see should we install one and turn it on.
Bummer buck, i have a brother in law who was diagnosed some seven years with Alzheimers he was 52, he has been in care for five years now, fookin cruel it hit him so hard and quick .

I've taken another teeny, tiny step towards retirement by arranging to meet my pensions guy in 3 weeks time to discuss the mechanics of getting my pension. In turn he's sent me a "cash flow/expenditure" sheet so I can list my current outgoings and what I think my future outgoings will be. From a first pass I cant see how I don't run out of salary each month after the first week
