Hi everybody! I fell in love with Ducati about 10 years ago as a pillion. I now ride a 2004 Blue Monster S4R and next week i should receive my 848evo Corse SE. (can't wait!) I had a R6 for about 6 months but it was too nice and polite, no "bound" to create, no relationship with it, it had no soul (if that makes any sense to anyone...). Hopefully the 848 is gonna be a better match! I'm just a girl trying to have fun! :wink:

Hi and welcome to another Sussex type! I can only imagine that yours, like all other 848s, will come out of the crate with suspension in dire need of sorting, but you probably know that anyway. Also - the best mod I've done to mine was to go to a 41 tooth rear sprocket as it sorts out the gearing superbly. Cheers K
+1 on that, but at least it's fitted with an Ohlins shock that once set up will feel loads better that the stock Showa unit that was fitted to the other models.

Thanks for the tips! The suspension is first on my "to do" list, as it made a huge difference on my S4R once properly adjusted. I'll have a look at 41 rear sprockets, thanks for that.
Oh, Whiteway's! Just "up the road"... I've been popping there regularly. It's my quick ride/get away when the other half is stuck home with his kids for the weekend! I'm normally there with my monster S4R (blue). He sometimes comes with his red S4RS. Very his & her bikes! :biggrin: Has your Streetfighter got transparent belt covers?
