Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.

  1. The eu is and has always been, a vehicle, pardon the pun, for Germany and its industries.

In the early days and as a trade organisation, it worked and people were prepared to accept the compromises all involved had to make. That all changed with the maastricht agreement when instead of the countries being in charge, it allowed what was the trade body management, to become the governing body of the 28.

Was it you that mentioned the unions? that they start off representing you then they end up telling you what to do and that is how the eu has evolved. It's evolved by going to it's natural end point of such organisations, it will seek to become a country with the 27 being little more than counties. The junker replacement, the German lady has a long history of stating such and so she will continue to take it in that direction, a direction the U.K. has voted to say no thank you and other eu countries are starting to question. One, us, has used the legal out of the eu and through a legal referendum.

We wish them well on their voyage as we are europeans also, we just choose not to be run by the eu commissioners and project.

As to buying italian bikes and cars. In the last year, Ducati have been strong arming their dealers to become corporate clones and invest heavily in refurbishments of their premises or leave the Ducati network. That sounds like to me anyway, They are investing heavily in the U.K. and the U.K. market.

  2. Because Ducati along with other luxury brands have a loyal following and their customers will pay for it regardless, even servicing at £100 an hour........thank you for proving my point

  3. It was me that said about the trade unions, I do think there are similarities, simply put they got too big for their boots, and I think the Eu is heading the same way.

  4. That leaving the Eu would have little or no effect on luxury car / motorcycle sales ?

  5. Depends on the economy.

I was thinking more from a personal choice point of view

  6. Can't buy much at all if you don't have a job.

  7. People have been unemployed whilst we have been in the eu too. I would add, despite the claim of even daring to use democracy and to vote leave would leave 500,000 unemployed, we have in fact moved to our lowest unemployment rate for decades.

It's also worth reminding you duke in your one dimensional world, we are economy wise, doing better than the eu currently economy wise but the eu is struggling and their unemployment rate is going up

  8. What point does that prove please, I’m confused ?

Leaving the Eu won’t affect the U.K. in terms of choice of cars and motorcycles?

  9. Pity Cameron hadn't delivered a speech like that, instead of spitting his dummy out. All history now .

  10. When she made that speech in March, it was derided by some remainers because she is the leader of the afd, Germany's equivalent to Frances Mary Le Penn's party because it was impossible to attack what she had said.

Even when some in the U.K. retweeted her speech such as JRM, It saw a response by our own poundland version of Al Sharpton, David Lammy, that declared

The Labour MP David Lammy said Rees-Mogg was “promoting Germany’s overtly racist party”.

He tweeted: “Our country’s proudest moment was defeating the far right. Now we are supposed to sit back while xenophobes, nativists, nationalists and isolationists do their best to tear Europe apart again. We must not let them win.”

and such other bandwaggoners as Stella Creasy also saw offence where there was none but used the usual tropes to discredit the speech

His Labour colleague Stella Creasy tweeted: “We have to deal with the AfD on the Council of Europe. One of their reps claims that ‘Muslims in Europe are seeking to kill all Germans’. So forgive us @Jacob_Rees_Mogg if don’t use them as you do as a metric for decent opinions by which we should be influenced.”

Because to say something that doesn't support remain must be all of this in their eyes.

Weidels speech however was none of those accusations. it clearly points out the risk to Germany, economically and politically, it points out the eu has gotten to big for it's boots and when a partner of the U.K.'s stature, economic wealth, political gravitas and long history wish to leave, then the eu has to ask some awkward questions

When the vote happened, the eu said big questions needed to be asked of itself, they did not
When the eu elections were talking place, even people like verhofstadt who was seeking re-election as an mep, electioneered on the basis, the eu needs to be more accountable and needs to look at itself
When the brexit party became the largest party in the european parliament, tusk was saying the eu needs to take a look at itself

For 3 years the eu have been saying it needs to take a look at itself and yet, when the commissioners sought a replacement for their leader, Junker, they appointed a lady with a very long history of stating quite clearly, she wants the eu to be a federal united states of europe and all countries to be run from Belgium. It would appear they didn't look that hard.

  11. David Lammy may have some worries of his own soon.

Twitter is currently smoldering with the theory that Lammy sends himself racist hate mail in order to Tweet about it and raise dumpster fires in order to promote "his brand".

I looked at the two letters that Lammy had posted and claimed had been sent to him, and pointed out that the capital R's in both letters were identically formed. Others pointed out other similarities. Did Lammy initiate a false-flag operation?

    Huge, if true.

  12. His whole career appears to be little more than keeping the divide going rather than bringing the colours together. He is the mp for Tottenham and has been since 2010 and yet Tottenham has a terrible track record for shootings and gang violence. It seems he has adopted the mayor khan approach of don't look at my house, look at everyone else's

  18. Only because the French Establishment is fully behind Germany's European aspirations.

You'll see a change in relationship if someone like Le Pen got into power. Not that that could happen.
