Wasn't the original 916sps about £18k new and a foggy rep £20/22k,so the pricing is really the same on the increase level from a £35k V4R to a V4 foggy at £38k................just a thought
Weird he spent 80% of that advert saying the 916 was the best bike ever, whilst trying to sell a different bike
Incomparable. Different company, different world. set of wheels, few decals, maybe clutch conversion, 5k tops. So where’s the other 8k?! (What’s an S, 25k??)
The wheels are £4212, clutch conversion kit is £2800, Akrapovic (street legal) end cans are £4270, adjustable rearsets are £991 and the Rizoma levers, fuel cap etc is a kit at £1089 to buy in the Accessories catalogue. Suspiciously close to £13k with no allowance to offset the cost of the OE parts. Andy
Which is not only a piss take, its a fucking liberty! Bmw charge £900 for mag wheels. Less than 2k for a full system. Ducati are treating its customers like thick counts* imo *iOS auto spell sorted that
One things for certain, given the money choice of the R for £35k or non R with paint for £38k, I reckon Foggy would be rolling down the pit lane on the R and save the £3k for beer
Clutch conversion's 3k for a kick off. Other stuff I noticed from pictures only:- DP swingarm protector DP levers Rizoma by Doocardi quick release tank cap Rizoma by Doocardi rear sets DP screen (taller) Akrapovic zorst thing. DP CF mudguard?? DP front brake guard Carbon fucking fibre fucking thing Some other bits of shit And a thing And I think that's about it. Oh, paint job
I know which one i would invest my money into if the cash funds were available,as from now in ten/twenty years time a zero mileage foggy/500 will be worth more in the bank than a pumped out R #IMO
I think my issue is I could not buy a bike to store and wait for investment - Life’s to short unfortunately. I’d still buy the R but then ride it to Mugello (if I could) and not worry about putting miles or using it.
Horses for courses in life but your spoton as these machines should be enjoyed as time waits for no man
