Ask your dealer for specs. I was told it was a base model, not an S.

 

Now if they put a V4 engine in a 916 frame with 916 bodywork; that’d be fun.

How do they get away with calling the new Super Sport a tourer (ish) when my bladder after a run around the Gobi desert holds more fluid.

 

Your dealer is wrong, as the images of the top yoke show DES suspension and Ohlins forks. I uploaded a spyshot of the bike on the Foggy V4 thread today and it is definitely an S.

Surely if you want to celebrate the 916 then you need to go and buy a 916? Nothing compares.....!

 

However, Ducati don't make any profit on 2nd hand sales....

 

A limited run of 916 SP with all the best bits would be an interesting proposition though. A bit like the heritage Jags.
