Thanx for all the info guys, much appreciated, we are camped at glen lough, a mile or so from union mills, what's union mills like as a place to watch.
I stayed at Glenlough last year, very basic and be prepared for massive ques for the bogs and showers as they seem to cram 5000 people in a site designed for 500. But it is a good location, up the road from Douglas and good viewing at Bray hill and Crosby. They operate a decent minibus service from the site, great if you are not on a bike. Well worth venturing round the course for other view points, but as Glenlough site is on the course itself be careful not to get shut out when the racing/practice happens.
TT is on my bucket list. I was going to go over in 1991 with my then husband for our " late" honeymoon . However I think by then it was evident it was not a marriage made in heaven or going to last. I'm glad we did not go have a row and tarnish the whole experience! I don't really want to go on my own . I have a couple of friends who Marshall every year .. I'd like to drag some folks with me in a year or two. Sadly none of my friends are enthusiastic about TT .. Or Manx .. Getting anyone out of Suffolk is like ... A mirical.... Carrots on sticks don't work these days.
anyone going to the TT im going from newcastle and set sail from Hailsham to the isle of man. cant wait. not looking forward to trying to carry a load of gear on the 999 mind. have yet to try and fit the panniers
Mr R I am surprised it has not dropped off !!!!!! Or worn to a nubbin. You two what are you like !!!?
my first time this year. cant wait. going by myself. wheres the best boozers to drink. getting there on the saturday 1st. whoop whoop. dunno how the fook im gonna fit all my shit on the bike. have just got a set of oxford panniers but a bit tricky on a mono with a delicate carbon pod
ballacottier camp site still had spaces but call them as they take an age to reply to emails which makes booking a ferry very hard.
