Today I completed my penultimate Friday at work ever, after previously ditching Mondays this year in March too
Is this part of the softly into retirement thing the government let you do in the last few years of useful employment?
I’ve been to a local business “fine dining” freebie event. It really was lovely food. I was sat next to an acquaintance (I would call him a ‘friend’ but only in the widest possible sense) who was our local MP till the last election when he was voted out, and is now the future Conservative candidate for the next election. Anyway he reckons that BoJo has already got 63% of the vote to be the next Tory party leader. Goat help us!

Thought it best to dip a few toes out at the ripe old age of 55, still getting most of my salary and still have two jobs with the business too - but coming up 5 years of circa 65 to 70 hour weeks is ending, it's been worth it now the time has finally arrived high time you did the same as you are considerably richer than me , there is only one currency at our time of life and that is 'time'
I’m fuming Got a ticket for undertaking on the M6 Running late yesterday and so I opted to use the motorway instead of the A500. I joined just before they closed the slip road to allow a royal motorcade with Prince Charles and Camilla in heading to Cornwall...they were travelling along under police protection but so bloody slow.... They were doing 48 in lane three.. I waited and waited hoping they would move over. . Hoping they would speed up. But they didn't.. I got impatient and used lane 1 to pass them at 65 as they continued to do less than 50.. Stopped by lead police motorcade biker.. He told me off and wrote me a ticket.. I asked "why?" He said its because i saw you "pass the duchy on the left hand side.."

I have passed my inspection, not with flying colours due to the below, as having said the dining room wall totally cleared the eagle eyed bugger spotted the Baylis behind the table and had a little moan I wasn't too bad though as I let her keep £100 change from the flights to get some shoes
Joined in with Manchester International Festival again last night. Not a gig as such but dinner, some chef from Wiswell? Tonight’s gig is elecrtonica night at the Ritz, got all my E’s and Wizz sorted.
