  1. is it available for a test ride?

  2. This very different LC Hybrid is on the Yamaha RD Owners Facebook Group LC/YPVS

Hi guys I’m looking to sell my 1981 RD 350lc hybrid. With a large spec list.
Ok so I’ll get the general bits described it’s got MOT until 31/03/2020 I put the mot on the bike as soon as I brought the bike,
Its currently taxed & insured, I have the full V5 in my name with 8 Former keepers.
Around 1500 miles ago it’s had a full ground up rebuild including the engine into a hybrid using the RGV VJ22 250 running gear.
The engine has also had a very recent rebuild currently being run in. It has a fair bit of performance mods done and mods to aid longevity.
I’m asking £5.5k FIRM. Collection from Birmingham. It’s cost me around 6.3k in total.
A lot of you will recognise the bike as I brought it from the forum a while ago since then it’s had a engine rebuild.
I would entertain a bike of lesser value in part ex with cash my way open to a project as well.

  3. I don't know what to make of that Ron. It seems to have the worst of all worlds. It's also a bit pricey. :worried:

  4. Not my fav - why the fuck would you want a huge LC on the side panels, and the seat looks terrible?

  6. Two engine rebuilds in 1500 miles? i always kept the original airbox and carbs and had no problems, I'm not a fan of aftermarket foam filters and what look like PWK carbs of a Kr1s? personal choice of course.
At least you will know what model of Yamaha it is from a mile away :).

Side note- All the Lc's i see Ron don't have headlight brackets as good as yours

  13. I never was a fan of the after market brackets to fit RGV forks, so i had original lc brackets cut and strips of metal added to fit the larger forks then powder coated, the idea for the whole bike for me was to keep it original as possible apart from the front and rear end and this was just another part i could keep the original look,

  16. replacement later barrels/carbs/coils as well as the allspeeds just make it non-original to me - spose I'm being harsh
