That's what I was going to get at one point, just too cramped with little head room made me choose the Vivaro…
I've just checked and the LWB Vito is less than 10" longer than the SWB. That's right- a mere cocks length. On the slack....
I was looking at LWB connect. Last van I rented was Peugeot expert, loved it and ended up buying one. Great spec, before that rented a Vivaro, personally I hated it, not nice driving position, gave me shin splints after 10 miles. Transit custom before that, nice van, good spec good size and comfortable. Went for the Pug, reverse camera, 7” touch screen with apple car play, parking sensors, air con, twin sliding doors. Good MPG, 2.0 120bhp. Perfect length FWIW I don’t think the connect would be great height wise
Depends how creative you are, when it’s your own van you can ply out and store/mount what you want. I carry more than enough to get by.
Can you get two bikes in? Imho if it’s being bought as a major use that is to do trackdays (racing even more so) you need space for two bikes and some kit. That way, if you rarely have 2 bikes you have plenty of space for all the other rubbish! And potentially to help a mate out when they smash theirs having ridden there.....!
It won’t fit 2 bikes in not with lots of space But if I was carrying two bikes I’d buy a massive van OP said track day and if he was looking at a Connect L2 I’d say he’s only trucking a single bike like myself, he also said about using it as a daily drive like myself, hence a sensible sized van.
Vivaro all day. Chipped to 165 bhp Sportive with a few toys added. Still turning 45 mpg & goes like stink. Loads of room for 2 bikes with 8foot length. Yes they do drive like a car & as quiet too.
Bloody 'ell, its a van thread. I read the headline and I thought he was taking some bird down to Brands..
Carted 2 bikes and 2 sets of kit around many times in the Vito, no probs I think I might be getting a bit confused here though. Are people on about the next size down vans? Wouldn't fancy one of those.... Too small.
See what you mean. Just the economy and smaller size for daily usage. I'll buy either one of them or a vivaro this week. Most likely a vivaro.
The expert. Set of nice wheels and a remap soon. They do a 180bhp version but I’m expecting 155bhp from remap
