I might be asking a dumb question here but if you don’t ask, you might never know.. I was looking at a Panni 1199 Tricolour the other day and would appreciate if someone could advise exactly what the differences are between the TC and a Panni 1199 S ? Obviously a sticker kit but what else? I noticed there was nothing on the yoke, eg a limited number or any badge saying Tricolour.. Also was there a difference in prices between the two bikes when new?, I guess there probably was ? Anyone that owns a TC I’d be interested to know if it states the model on the log book, by saying it’s either, a 1199S or, a 1199S TC ? Thanks for your anticipated help.. X
i believe the 1199s TC came with Termi cans and Upmap and Paint, but my buddy has one, and there are no real differences to my 1199s as he also bought the sport pack, (Carbon bits, fuel cap etc) as mine had them and his didnt.. the paint looks nice, but not a real investment in my eyes, and not a real justification for a higher price than a 1199s with extras
As previously stated was just Termi cans, paint job and also a data logger. They were in the region of £4K more than the 1199s back in 2012, not a lot of people bought them which makes them collectible today Mine has 1199s Tricoloure on the V5
im not sure if the TC had ABS as an Option, but my 1199s is a 2012 model and does not have ABS from the factory
Think ABS was standard on the TC. Just looking through my paperwork Retail as follows:- 1199s with ABS £19750 Tricoloure £23495
So basically it’s 4k for a few stickers a bit of white paint and termis.. Do they run on upside down ohlins?
Mines a 2013. It’s a paint job not just stickers. Yup, Termi end cans not full system, plus upmap. It does not say Triclour on the log book it says Tricolore. It’s Italian. It has traction control and abs. Even after all this time when I lift the cover off it, it’s still like lifting up Kylie Minogue’s skirt.
Yes. Thought the early 1199 base was with/without as option but all s had it. Then year 2 all bikes had abs.
Didn’t know that! Not stickers ( that’s stickers, not knickers) lacquered over then but actual paint, that’s good.. They are Bi posta’s though yes? Handy in your case I guess if Kylie needs to go to the shops .. x
On the V5c topic: the V5c will have what the registering dealer puts on the form/system. If they are busy, then '1199s' may only be entered, if they have attention to detail, in a good mood, no hangover then you might get '1199s Tricolore'.
