Its slow unless thrashed to fuck and I have one blown Ducati that I can't afford to fix already!! I was seriously thinking of taking the 900ss but don't want to kill that either!
My mate had a whale of a time on his cafe racer scrambler in inters on the last one. May be some better road rubber (if needed)
I've only done 2 half day track days but I know I would soon get bored if not ringing the bikes neck... Yes, I know one should work on the finer points, braking and turn in points, body position etc but....
To late bud, I sold my spot... Tbh I really just can't afford it.. the Europe thing cleaned me out and I need to get the 749 fixed... I am gutted to be sure but such is life..
Sentimental reasons I guess.... Also, as I said, I've one blown Ducati at the min and I'm struggling to find the money to fix it... That's my track bike, I ride the others hard enough on the road ( within legal limits and certainly within my capabilities) but from my very limited experience, the track is alot harder on an engine... I would love a 900ss track bike though!!!! I bought mine one owner 6k miles and want to keep it tidy... The only reason I ride it at all is I love it so much and can't stay off it! I should have put it in bubble wrap and bought another!
You would attain legend status if, providing it’s actually running and has oil, you blew a 900ss motor matey. More bullet proof than anything.
Yea I've had a few now and they are awesome... But....the exception to the rule is always in the back of my mind as is the thickness of my wallet ATM! One day I will hopefully have the money for a 900 track hack but I don't now and my current one is just a lil to close to my heart... Probably sounds stupid to those that think a bike is a bike is a bike. I can understand that way of thinking
Weather forecast looks decidedly iffy and worse than the forecast 2 days ago. Just had a set of wets taken off wheels, going to have dig out some wheels from somewhere to put them back on. So who is going to join me on track if it’s wet ? Andy
I will Andy, although I'll need tyres changing while there as I don't have time to get wets fitted to another set of wheels in advance.
My experience of change at track on DUK day was you didn’t get out in the morning. I have the kit at home if you want to borrow.
Yep I’ll be out with wets unless it’s chucking it down - don’t mind a wet track but riding when it’s pissing it down is not fun
