  1. make sure its running on semi synth oil. IME fully synth when hot affects the clutch quite a bit

  2. I have a 2004 999, my first Ducati. Only just bought it but gear changes are too heavy at first to the point you really have to force on an up or down shift. Never having had dry clutch on a bike I don’t know if that is the difference. I’ve owned an Aprilia Mille before so used to v twins. Never experienced gear change like this and finding neutral can be a pain where it’s easier to stall it to find neutral. Any ideas?

  3. Check some simple stuff.
    - chain tension
    - tightness of the bolts holding lever and linkage
    - height of the lever for where you like it

Ime often poor c=hear changes are as much to do with these as anything. Also worth checking clutch fluid and replacing/bleeding.

    Hope you sort it :upyeah:

  4. Thanks for the help, I’ll check out a few things this weekend when I’ve time. I knew the gear change couldn’t be this difficult

  5. Old post but bleed the clutch.
    Did you fix it??
